Introduction to Deal, England
Deal is a town of around 30,000 inhabitants in the English county of Kent. It is situated on the English Channel in between Dover to the southwest and Ramsgate to the north. The town is ideally located for tourism, and most attractions are found within walking distance of one another. Deal Castle was built during Henry VIII's reign and is the town's most visited attraction. It was designed in the form of a Tudor rose and has many dark passages which wind through huge batons, making it a great place to explore. The castle is located on the town's seafront, where you can also find a large number of Deal hotels. History enthusiasts are likely to enjoy Deal, where Walmer Castle and Gardens, another Tudor castle, offers visitors access to its principle rooms and beautiful gardens. The town has a wide variety of local shops, a nice pier area and two weekly markets. The Farmers' Market takes place on Wednesday in the Town Hall and offers fresh, local products, while the Saturday Market is held in the car park on Union Road, near the town centre, and offers goods such as jewellery and clothes.other spellings: dealhotels, otel der, deer hotell, dal hote, del hotes, deel, dear, dar
