Introduction to Cromer, England
Set right on the Norfolk coast and the shores of the North Sea, Cromer combines all the elements for a relaxing seaside holiday in this, one of the quieter regions of England. There are good golf courses as well as the National Trust Fellbrigg Hall country house, which can be found within the area. The 140 metre long pier is one of this city's heritage landmarks that have survived from the Victorian Era. To this day, it is still used by locals and tourists alike. The pier is also used as a launching point for lifeboats, which, together with the guiding beacon of the Cromer Lighthouse (built in 1833), have been saving those that are lost at sea for many decades. As with most of the Norfolk coastline, its beaches consist of firm white sand and stretch along the front of the town towards Sheringham. There are good hotels in Cromer situated in the heart of the city as well as on its outskirts.
