Introduction to Crewe, England
The town of Crewe is a key railway community located in the eastern part of the county of Cheshire, which is in northern England. Large numbers of tourists stay at Crewe hotels while enjoying the many aspects of the town, which is famous for being a major railway junction. The local railway station, which is just a kilometre the centre of town, is one of the biggest stations in the UK. Railway lines from Crewe connect with London, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff, Manchester and Chester, among other places. The town is also the home of a one-time significant and sizable railway engineering facility, the Works, and the town pays homage to this heritage. Another famous resident of the town, Rolls-Royce motor cars, was present here from 1946 until 2002, when it became part of a larger, foreign car company. The factory at Pyms Lane now only produces Bentley automobiles.
