Introduction to Cleobury Mortimer, England
Cleobury Mortimer is a rural market village of some 2,000 residents in Shropshire, England. Just east of town flows the River Rea. The hilly town rises in elevation from 110 to 150 metres. The B4363 roadway links Cleobury Mortimer and Bridgnorth. The town is rich in landmarks, such as the well-known St Mary's Church, which dates to the 1100s. The holy structure is unique for its crooked spire, which came about due to damp-induced rot and the warping of its oak wood. Across the road from the church is The Wells, which has served the town with fresh water for centuries. Restyled at the turn of the 21st century, the town's Market Hall has a tourist information centre. Cleobury Mortimer hotels reflect the small-town charm of this friendly community. A highlight here for locals and tourists alike is Brewery Hobsons, which was founded in 1993 and is located half a kilometre from the town centre. other spellings: cleobury mortimerhotels, cleobury otel, cleobury mortimor hotell, clebery mortimor
