In the southwest of England in Devon, the village and civil parish of Chumleigh sits atop a hill. The town lies 32kms northwest of Exeter and is served by the B3096 and A377 roads as well as King's Nympton Railway Station. More than 1,300 people live here. Many old examples of thatched and cob are sprinkled around town. The village has a parish church, St Mary Magdalene. It also has a pub, the Old Court House, on South Molton Street. Sporting adventures are here for the taking at Chulmleigh Cricket Club and Chulmleigh Golf Course. Short drives out of town will take you to several regional attractions. These include the family-run Quince Honey Farm, which has been making honey since 1949; the Cobbaton Combat Collection, which is devoted to military paraphernalia; and the North Devon Farm Park, an area for protected wildlife.
