Introduction to Chipping Norton, England
A popular and pretty historic market town, Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire is considered by many to be amongst the most attractive of Cotswolds towns and one of the top country towns in the United Kingdom. Chipping Norton hotels are used to seeing large numbers of both domestic and international tourists, many of whom are attracted by the historic architecture in and around the town. The Gothic nave at the Parish Church of St Mary has one of the most impressive 15th-century interiors of any church in England. The 17th-century almshouses are another popular attraction. Chipping Norton also makes an excellent base for exploring the surrounding countryside. The Jacobean architecture at Chestleton House is amongst the most important in the country and the Rollright Stones are only a few kilometres from the town. Perhaps the reason why this town is so popular, however, is its excellent combination of in-town attractions and its practical location, making it easy to enjoy the scenery of the Cotswolds.other spellings: chipping nortonhotels, chiping noton otel, chiping noton hotell, cheping notun
