Introduction to Chiddingfold, England

The pretty Surrey village of Chiddingfold was once a famous producer of glass, examples of which can be found in many of the finest churches and chapels in the country. In fact, both glass-making and the production of iron were once the main industries in the surrounding region, known as The Weald. Today, the village offers a very pretty and convenient community for both visitors and commuters, many of whom easily travel into London during the week, thanks to the excellent rail and road connections. Tourists will enjoy the practicality of Chiddingfold hotels, which are within minutes of the village's key attractions, such as the village green, St Mary's church, the forge and a famous pub. The Crown Inn has been around for more than 600 years and is one of Britain's oldest inns. The village also offers great access to bigger towns, like Godalming, Guildford and Woking.
