Introduction to Buckingham, England
The historic market town of Buckingham is situated in central England, just west of Milton Keynes. It is easily reached, as it is midway between the M40 and M1 motorways. As well as cultural sites Buckingham is home to a private university, and manufacturing and technology firms. Buckingham hotels are an accommodation option for tourists, business people and visiting students. The River Great Ouse loops around the town centre. In the centre there are a number of Buckingham hotels, which are close to ambient pubs, shops, restaurants, the Market Square and the quirky Old County Gaol. The gaol, one of many town structures dating from the 18th century, now serves as its museum. Among the tourist attractions close to the hotels in Buckingham are Capability Brown’s Stowe gardens, which are packed with statuesque temples, lakes and paths, and Waddesdon Manor. The manor boasts fabulous gardens and ornate chambers, and is the venue for well attended annual events.
