Introduction to Brigg, England
Originally named Glanford Brigg, the small market town of Brigg can be found on the River Ancholme in the English county of North Lincolnshire. The tourism industry of this modest community has been well developed, and visitors will find a large number of amenities to make use of, including plenty of shops, restaurants and Brigg hotels to choose from. One of the main landmarks here is the local parish church, which was constructed on the site of a 17th century chapel and is dedicated to St John the Evangelist. The town is also famed for its workhouse, which once played an important role in the lives of the people of Brigg. History buffs are sure to be in their element here, as there are numerous old buildings to be seen, some of which have been carefully restored to their former glory. However, the town also has modern elements, including a vibrant shopping zone for bargain hunters.
