Introduction to Brentwood - City Centre
Located within the outskirts of London's commuter belt, the Essex town of Brentwood offers a fine mix of local attractions, as well as good access to transport links that put London, Southeast England, the Essex coast and other more-distant destinations within relatively easy reach. London's famous M25 circular motorway is just minutes to the west. The local railway station, which offers regular connections to London, is close to hotels in Brentwood City Centre. The popular A12 highway, which largely follows the route of a Roman road, runs just north of town. The town museum, housed in a historic building from the 19th century, contains exhibits spanning a hundred years from the mid-19th century. Children are likely to get a kick out of Old MacDonald's Farm, which is only about five minutes away. Though largely a ruin, the Chapel of Thomas Becket in the town centre testifies to the area's importance in the 13th century as a stop for religions pilgrims. Though the town offers adequate shopping facilities, Lakeside Thurrock, about 25 minutes to the south, is one of Europe's great retail centres.other spellings: brentwood otel citycenter, bentwood city hotell, bentwood hote center, brentwod hotes
