Introduction to Birmingham - Bromsgrove
A quaint UK suburb of Birmingham, Bromsgrove feels entirely separate from its larger northern neighbour. Just a few miles from the city centre, Bromsgrove offers visitors plenty to do in itself, saving visitors the trek into the bustling centre. The district's Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings is a treasure trove of interesting exhibits. This outdoor museum became the country's first open-air museum when it opened in 1967. Anglophiles will love the telephone kiosk collection here, which is the largest of its kind in the country. The Worcester and Birmingham Canal close by is a haven for walkers and fishermen alike, especially in summer. There is also a major golf course on the edge of town. The centre is home to a number of traditional pubs and nightclubs that get lively at the weekend. Bromsgrove hotels mainly consist of modern, roadside accommodation, given the town's proximity to the M5 motorway.Visit our Birmingham Travel Guide
