A 15th century building, the Best Western Roebuck Inn Hotel has an exterior reminiscent of a country house, yet has modern interiors. The restaurant is named after the great Dick Turpin who was probably the most famous highwayman of the time. There is an evidence to suggest that Dick Turpin hid here in 1738, using his wife's maiden name Palmer, prior to his final flight to Yorkshire.
