Introduction to Belper, England
Around eight miles to the north of Derby, Derbyshire, is the town of Belper, also in Derbyshire, England. Situated in the Amber Valley, on the banks of the Amber River, this historical town isn't a popular place to visit among holidaymakers, yet its peaceful, calm atmosphere makes for a welcome break from busier regional locations. Hotels in Belper are mostly located along Chapel Street, close to the town’s railway station. The town’s main attractions and facilities include the railway station, shops, restaurants and historic churches. The banks of the Amber River offer peaceful surroundings and lovely river views that can be enjoyed by walkers. The King Street shopping area is a hive of activity throughout the week and offers a department store and a tackle shop among other outlets. North Mill, a historical cotton-spinning mill that is now converted into flats, is part of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage site.other spellings: belperhotels, belpre otel, belepr hotell, bepler hote, bleper hotles, belpe hotes
