Aylesbury is a town in the English county of Buckinghamshire. It is located in the southeast of England, and is the main county town. It is a town with much tradition and many of its old buildings still stand, including St Mary’s Church and the houses and shops on the busy Church Street. There isn't a large selection of hotels in Aylesbury as in nearby London and Oxford, but there is a good amount to choose from. The town showcases England’s small town hospitality, with locals offering a warm welcome, often best found in the town’s public houses. For views over the town, visitors can scale Butler’s Cross. Shopping is nowhere near as diverse as in nearby larger cities but the daily market offers insight into this small town’s history of market trade while the occasional French market features the chance to pick up stinky cheeses from across the Channel.
