By road: the eastern and western coast roads provide principle access to Sharm El Sheikh with the former route taking you via Nuweiba and Dahab and the latter route coming from Cairo.

By air: direct connections from international destinations to Ophira airport, the city’s only air facility, are by chartered flight only; hence the majority of people arriving from overseas will fly into Cairo and take a connecting flight. Egypt Air is responsible for maintaining domestic connections from the airport.
