The cooler and more preferable months are those just either side of the summer season: March/April and October/November. Winters are pleasant and still an ideal time to take a holiday (especially for visitors seeking to escape the ravages of a bitter European or North American winter) with temperatures in the low to mid 20s (°C) and little or no threat of serious precipitation.

The best diving is also to be had during the cooler months; however, there is good visibility all year round. Some people may even prefer the hotter months as the waters are nice and warm, and the air above is without a chill.
