February Festivals
Hurghada International Festival: this is essentially a series of sporting events lasting 12 days and seeing: a triathlon, a 75-kilometre race called the Mare Monti, the Hurghada half-marathon, a 10-kilometre race and a 21-kilometre race. The atmosphere in the city during the event is very jovial and carnival-oriented as its residents engage is a variety of forms of revelry to coincide with the festivities. The festival is held in February every year.

Coptic Easter: the entire Coptic Christian community of Egypt places significant emphasis on the importance of the Easter season and the city of Hurghada is no exception with its Christian residents attending religious services as well as using the time to assemble with friends and family members to enjoy feasting and other get-together activities.
