Introduction to Taba - Beach
Taba is a border town which separates Egypt's Sinai Peninsula from Eilat, in Israel. There's little here to keep visitors long, but there is a famous casino in one of the hotels for gamblers passing through. Most Taba Beach hotels are four and five-star accommodations offering guests the chance to relax on their own private beach. Excursions to nearby attractions such as Mount Sinai as well as Petra in Jordan are possible for the culturally inclined. The beach is set against the backdrop of the Sinai Mountains, offering breathtaking views of four countries. Other views are available from nearby Castle Zaman, a local monument where excellent food and drink is available. Many visitors get here by crossing the Israeli border at Eilat. However, there are also regular flights to Taba International Airport. In addition, regular buses leave Cairo from the city's main bus station.
