Mena House Oberoi Hotel - Cairo

The Mena House Oberoi Hotel is in a prime location being just 10 minutes walk from the sphinx and pyramids of Giza. It is about 60 minutes drive from Cairo City and 90 minutes drive from Cairo Airport. The hotel is the former historic palace of King Farouk and consists of 2 main wings, the Old Palace Wing with its old world charm, interior and the newer, modern style Garden Wing. The Mena House Oberoi Hotel has a great view of the pyramids outdoor pool, a spa, several good restaurants and a 9 hole golf course.

The rooms in both wings are elegantly appointed and of a very good size. The Palace rooms are much older and traditional in style. Bathrooms are also in exceptional condition.

There are several restaurants, all of which serve high quality cuisine. The most famous of which is the main restaurant. This is a magnificent, high- ceilinged room, decorated in a traditional style and renowned for its high quality oriental and international cuisine.

The lobby area is elegantly decorated in traditional style, with gold coloured panelling and ethnic style seating.

The building itself is set back in private gardens and is divided into 2 wings; the Old Palace and the newer Garden Wing.
