February Festivals

Copenhagen International Boat Show: is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious boat shows, hosted at the Bella Centre. You’ll find a range of boats from luxurious ocean-going yachts to smaller pleasure craft, as well as a huge variety in boating accessories.
The event lasts for ten days every February and is aimed at potential buyers; but there are a number of ocean-themed activities and shows featured also, so there’s sure to be something interesting for any visitor with a fondness for boating and the water.
May Festivals

Copenhagen Beer Day: for one weekend every May, the city’s beer lovers gather together to consume and discuss the merits of an enormous variety of beers. In recent years, the festival has featured more than 800 brands from around the globe. The Valby Hallen Centre is the venue for the event, where the revelry continues on into the night.
June Festivals

Roskilde Music Festival: has become the largest rock music event in northern Europe. A good number of musicians from Scandinavia and some top international names come together to perform on a total of six stages for four days in June. More than 100,000 fans of rock music attend the event, which also features film screenings, dance troupes and street theatre.
July Festivals

Copenhagen Jazz Festival: is hosted in every corner of the city for ten days in July. The city is alive with jazz sounds, as hundreds of regional and international artists perform in a wide range of styles. Outdoor stages are set up throughout, in parks and gardens, city squares and courtyards.
August Festivals

Cultural Harbour Festival: the city’s harbour area hosts a four-day cultural festival every year in August with concerts, dance performances and theatrical productions on offer. Children will particularly enjoy this festival, as there are numerous events and activities just for them.
November Festivals

Copenhagen Irish Festival: is a bit of an unexpected event for this Scandinavian city, but is enthusiastically celebrated with a range of Gaelic activities during four days in November. You can attend dozens of concerts, dance performances and readings of Irish poetry; and you’ll also be able to taste a number of Irish whiskies – at bars and clubs throughout the centre.
December Festivals

Tivoli Christmas Market: the renowned Tivoli amusement park has hosted the annual Christmas Market in December for more than 10 years now. Within the park complex, you’ll find four themed markets that are set up as villages, all offering a fantastic array of potential Christmas gifts. This market continues for the full month of December, during which, plays and concerts are featured.
