The museum has a good collection of works spanning from around 1900 to the present, by artists such as Sondergaard, Lundstrom, Jorn, and Salto.
Aalborgtaarnet: take in the wonderful views across Aalborg and the North Jutland landscape from this 55 metre observation tower. It has been constructed on a hill and provides a great view over the nearby fjord. The tower has a restaurant on top serving food and beverages.
Jens Bang's House: this five-story building is one of the best examples of renaissance domestic architecture in Europe. The house was built in 1624 by the merchant Jens Bang and has never been sold.
Aalborghus Slot: is a half-timbered castle that was built by King Christian III in the 16th century. It is Denmark's only preserved tax collecting castle and features large storerooms for taxes, which were paid in kind. It was renovated in the 1950s and now houses government administration offices. Visitors still have access to the courtyard and grounds, year round.
