Aalborg Travel Guide - Activities

Eating out: there is a huge choice of restaurants scattered around the city offering a wide choice of culinary delights. North Jutland is surrounded by water so seafood is prominent on many of the menus. For something a little bit different, try the exclusive restaurant on board the icebreaker Elbjorn.
After dinner, take a tour of the ship's glassworks museum. Jomfru Ane Gade is one of the most famous streets in Aalborg and boasts numerous cafes and restaurants. At night, the street transforms into a busy nightlife hub with some of the city's best bars and clubs.
Beach: Denmark's long coastline means that there are plenty of beaches. The nearest ones to Aalborg can be found on the west cost of northern Jutland. The long beaches have fine sand and the water quality is among the cleanest in Europe.
Fishing: Denmark's environmental policies have ensured that the waters around the coastline and in the lakes and rivers have remained clean and full of fish. There are many excellent places to go fishing and boats and equipment can be hired locally.
