Hotel Type
The Hotel Skandia has been simply renovated to offer great budget accommodation. It provides a well located option for guests looking to explore the city as well as the beautiful North Zealand region that once inspired Shakespeare and the writing of his Hamlet play.
Rooms are newly renovated in a simple and budget focussed style. They all feature hard wearing carpets, neutral colours, floral printed fabrics and simple white furniture. The bathrooms are also new and fresh with basic white fittings and tiles.
Restaurant:
A breakfast buffet is served in a bright and airy room on the second floor. However, the owners of the hotel also manage the highly regarded Sundkroen restaurant at the front of the train station offering views across the water and ferry terminal.
Lobby:
The lobby is small and featureless performing only the function of a 24 hour reception to the hotel.
Exterior:
It is a four storey restored red brick building. The building is typical of Danish town centres from the turn of the 20th Century, however, being located on a corner allows this building to enjoy more unique features such as the entrance overlooking the station.
