Introduction to Ribe, Denmark
This is the oldest town in Denmark, so Ribe has many visitors that just come to see what it’s like. Located in the Jutland region of the country and on the Wadden Sea, this remarkable old town has a history dating back 1,300 years. The hotels in Ribe are used by tourists visiting the town throughout the year and have a range of accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets. The town holds a market day every week, and local attractions are largely based around the town centre and the wharf. Not surprisingly the hotels in Ribe are in the older atmospheric buildings of the town. There are four star places as well as Ribe hotels which are more functional than luxurious, but cost less. Sights to seen in Ribe are the 13th century cathedral and the area known as the Skibbroen.
