Introduction to Kolding - City Centre
Kolding is an important city in the Southern Jutland area of Denmark and a part of the country's most dynamic commercial regions. Though significant, the city centre is small and easy to explore on foot. While exploring, tourists will see the Church of St Nicholas, one of the oldest churches in the country and the beautiful historic Koldinghus estate. The botanical gardens of Geografisk Have and the Trapholt art museum, popular attractions located just east of the city, still very accessible from Kolding city centre hotels. For hot summer days, visitors will enjoy a trip to the town's large swimming facility of Slotssobadet. A variety of cuisines are available in town, including Asian, Italian, American buffets and steak houses, and traditional Danish food. From Kolding, it's only an hour's drive or less to the Legoland theme park in Billund, the island of Funen's largest city, Odense, and the beautiful port city of Flensburg in Germany.
