Summers in Prague are usually very hot and sunny days are often broken up by thunderstorms. While thunderstorms can be a nuisance if you are out and about, they clear the air and allow for much pleasanter conditions.
July and August are peak season in the city and often sees highs of 29°C. However, with the good weather come crowds of tourists. It is the busiest time of year in the city and you are advised to book accommodation well in advance if you are travelling in these two months. Expect that many of the sights will be busy and you may have to queue.
