Introduction to Prague - Stresovice
Feeling more like a quiet country village than a suburb of the capital city, Prague's Stresovice is something of a Czech cross between Hollywood and Manhattan due to the proliferation of stars that live here. Included in this long list is democracy icon Vaclev Havel, also a former president. This well-positioned district is just 10 minutes' walk from Prague Castle, the biggest castle in the world, home of the Czech Crown Jewels and a tourist destination that could occupy of week of any visitor's time by itself. There are four churches in the area around the castle alone, along with a succession of palaces, halls and gardens. Make sure to pack a detailed guidebook as you'll need to know the lay of the land here given the wealth of sites.
