Introduction to Prague - Sporilov
Like a city within a city, the pleasant residential district of Sporilov offers travellers to Prague a great accommodation alternative to the congested tourist centre. It’s close enough to the heart of Prague to make staying in one of the Sporilov hotels a viable option, with plentiful transport connections including metro, train and bus lines. This district is a natural place with some lovely attractions, like Hamer Pond with its paved walking path and charming little island in the middle. The nature preserve along Botic Creek is another popular place for forest walks, but the main natural attraction in Sporilov is the massive Krc Forest, which is laced with excellent paths for biking, jogging or walking. There are plenty of create comforts here as well, with dozens of interesting bars, cafes and shops catering mainly to the 20,000 residents who live in the district. It’s this local atmosphere that makes Sporilov so appealing to those looking for a non-touristy part of the city.Visit our Prague Travel Guide
