Gomel Hotel - Ceske Budejovice

The Gomel Hotel is an elegant high rise hotel in the town of Ceske Budejovice. It is easily accessible from the city of Prague, and is near the town’s bus and railway stations, and is surrounded by around 50 shops in the immediate area. Guest rooms are spacious and comfortably fitted with modern necessities. Interiors are mostly of wood and marble, lending an elegant feel. Guests can choose from two in-house restaurants to indulge in local and international specialities. There is also a popular lobby bar and pub that serves famous Czech beer. There are 2 restaurants on the 1st floor. One is for groups and is basic and large. The other is small and more intimate.

The lobby is large and dark with mysterious glass sculptures hanging from the ceiling. The reception is long and there is seating with a bar just off the lobby. There are exhibitions in the lobby and the floor is dark marble.

The building is quite characterless, evocative of 1970' pseudo- modernist tradition. Greys, browns and oranges are quite prevalent. There is a lot of brown glass.
