Introduction to Beroun, Czech Republic
Beroun is a city in the Czech Republic, around 19 miles southwest of the capital city, Prague. Most travellers get here by train; both fast trains and local commuter trains depart regularly from Prague. The nicest part of the town is the historic main square. Here, St Jacob Church appeals to visiting tourists interested in architecture, courtesy of its Gothic design. Other historical attractions include the remains of the medieval city walls.
