Hiking and cycling: Paphos and its surrounding area are ideal for exploring on foot or by bike. There are a number of trails leading into the countryside and along country roads. There is the chance to visit small villages that seem to have been stuck in a time warp, or if you would prefer to stray away from the beaten track, the mountain areas and wilderness offer hours of fun.
Swimming: is a great way to cool down after a day in the sun. Most hotels have pools, or you can visit the water park and enjoy the facilities there. The sea is the obvious choice for those who want to cool down, but be careful that you don’t drift out too far.
Shopping: for many people is the perfect way to relax. Most of Paphos’ shops can be found conveniently huddled together and sell traditional items such as lace, pottery, paintings and jewellery. There are a number of souvenir shops to be found as well as many trendy boutiques offering the latest in fashion trends.
Horseback riding: the countryside surrounding Paphos offers some stunning trails for horseback riding. Popular trails include routes into the picturesque Peyia forest as well as trails alongside beaches and coastal areas.
