By air: visitors who choose to fly will arrive at either Larnaca Airport (30 minutes away) or Paphos Airport (1 hour, 40 minutes away). Both have international flights to and from cities in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. By ferry: most passenger ferries arrive at the large port at Limassol, approximately 50 miles from Nicosia. There are ferry services to other Mediterranean countries including Israel, Greece and Egypt. By bus: international bus companies run long distance services that connect Cyprus to many other places in Europe, although for most people it is a long and arduous journey that will save you little money. Once on the island there are buses that connect the majority of towns and villages in Cyprus. | |
