By air: Cyprus has two international airports which receive flights from all over the world. One is in Larnaca and the other in Paphos. Larnaca International Airport is small but very busy during holiday seasons.
Located 70kms from Limassol, the airport is connected by Intercity buses and taxis. Despite its size, the airport is fully-equipped with facilities including bureau de change kiosks, shops, restaurants, cafes and newsagents.
By rail: trains do not run to Cyprus, although you can make your way through Europe on the train and head for Turkey. Once in Turkey, it is possible to get a ferry to Cyprus from Sifke.
By car: many tourists hire car to drive around Cyprus, which is convenient thanks to good road networks. Nicosia, the capital, is connected to Limassol, Ayia Napa, Larnaca and Paphos with four-lane motorways.
By ferry: getting to Limassol by ferry is the second-best option after flying. The port is large, with a wide range of facilities such as duty-free shops, cafe, banks, and waiting lounges. Ferries arrive here regularly from Athens, Crete, Patmos, Rhodes, Egypt and Israel.
