Things To Do in Ayia Napa
Whether you choose to relax on the beach, take a cruise around the coastline, engage in any one of a number of water sports and activities or do some serious shopping, there’s plenty on offer to keep the most active visitor busy for several days.
Cruise: you can relax on a cruise around the Agia Napa coastline and experience a change of pace from the hectic activity on shore. Daily cruises are on offer that travel to Cape Greco or to Larnaca and are suitable for families with children.
Amusement Park: the amusement park in Agia Napa is one of the most interesting amusement parks to be found in the Mediterranean region. Features here include a large playground with thrilling rides and a variety of adventures for the whole family. Its huge Ferris wheel can be seen for miles from Agia Napa, and is a very popular attraction. The park is set in the centre of town and offers drinks and refreshments including an afternoon or evening of fun.
Water Park: located in Agia Napa, this attraction boasts a whole range of facilities for fun in the water, including a free-fall slide, high-speed slide, two giant inflatable-tube serpentine slides and a four-track multi-slide.
When you’re looking for refreshments or a quick bite, you’ll find a fast food cafeteria; and if you’re looking to relax and enjoy a meal, there’s a Mediterranean-style cafe here as well. Rounding out the amenities are an ice cream parlour and a retail shop, where you can buy swimwear and necessities, souvenirs and water-activity toys.
Agia Napa by Night: there’s a special feeling here when the sun goes down that brings visitors to the streets of Agia Napa town. On every one of the narrow streets you’ll find interesting diversions in the many cafes, restaurants, pubs and taverns: there’s an immense variety here.
Shopping: in Agia Napa can be a real treat, as you can find excellent bargains here, particularly on designer goods. The top brands in cameras, clothing, jewellery, and watches are available at up to 30 per cent less than in the UK. The boutiques and shops are typically small, with friendly staff and have opening hours until 23:00 daily, except Sunday.
Local handicrafts make for good souvenirs, and include items such as the lovely, embroidered Lefkara lace, baskets, ceramics, original silver jewellery, silk goods, hand-woven items and top quality leatherwear. You’ll find that major credit cards are accepted at most every shopping outlet.
