Paralimni is a Greek town in the southeastern region of Cyprus. The name means by the lake since the town was constructed beside a shallow lake which has water only during the winter months. Paralimni is home to many local workers who work in the neighbouring tourist areas of Protaras and Ayia Napa. Paralimni is a sleepy town compared with these neighbouring tourist destinations.
