Head three kilometers west from the Cyprus, Ayia Napa and the wonderful little Ayia Thekla Beach appears like a mirage off the Mediterranean Sea. Named after the small historic church nearby, this is one of the prettiest stretches of sand and water on the island. Equipment rentals for water sports, beach umbrellas and lounge chairs can be found on site, as well as lifeguards keeping an eye on things during the peak swimming season. A convenience store is the only place here to purchase sundrie,s so it's best to bring a lunch and drinks along. Just off the main road to Ayia Napa, this beach can be easily reached by taxi, bike or even a pleasant walk.
