Introduction to Rovinj - Beach
The seaside town of Rovinj is located in the northwestern region of Croatia, on the Adriatic coast. This beautiful destination is home to about 13,000 people, but the city usually hosts many more on account of the high tourist numbers experienced here. Hotels in Rovinj are found throughout the township, but many of the more elegant accommodation options are located near the beachfront areas of the city. The main beach areas of the city offer tourists a selection of great spots to relax under the sun, or enjoy a swim. Because of the nature of Rovinj∈s indented and rocky coastline, there isn∈t just one beach that dominates the town. There are plenty of small beaches and coves along the shoreline, with some offering water sports equipment like canoes and kayaking; some famous for diving and marine wildlife viewing; and others hosting naturalist and semi-naturalist bathers. Unfortunately, most of the beaches are rather pebbly. To combat this, the city has covered some beaches, like Lone Bay and Kuvi Bay, with fine gravel to make for a more comfortable beach experience.Visit our Rovinj Travel Guide
