Introduction to Makarska Riviera, Croatia
The Makarska Riviera is an area of the Croatian coast, and is an area where many tourists from all over Europe come for a sunny, beautiful and fun holiday. It is in the far south of the country, close to the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina. There are many hotels in Makarska Riviera, nearly all looking over the Adriatic Sea. Most Makarska Riviera hotels are in the mid to high price range, and include a number of three, four and five star hotels, private accommodation which includes villas and apartments and some cheaper guesthouses and bed and breakfast establishments close to the beaches, with some on the beachfront, though these are a little more expensive. There are various towns along the Makarska Riviera, including Makarska, Podgora and Baska Voda. These two towns have the more luxurious hotels in Makarska Riviera, and some of them are resort hotels, with various sporting and spa facilities, as well as restaurants, bars and pools.
