Introduction to Hvar Island - Beach
Hvar is a Croatian island with beautiful beaches, enticing restaurants and medieval towns. In addition, Hvar has a mild Mediterranean climate with some of the longest hours of sunshine in Europe. Visitors don't necessarily need to book accommodation as representatives from Hvar Island Beach hotels tend to meet arriving ferries. However, it might be worth booking ahead in August, when large numbers of Italians descend on the island. Most beaches on the island cater to clothed bathers, but some of the more secluded coves are shared with naturists. Mlaska and Cesminica beaches are among the most visited. Travellers can get here by ferry, with the fastest hydrofoils departing from Split, taking around one hour.
