Introduction to Dubrovnik - Lapad Peninsula
Dubrovnik, Croatia is a popular Mediterranean tourist resort; the city is regarded as one of Europe’s most beautiful cities. The city’s ancient centre has even been recognised by UNESCO. As such, many visitors choose to stay in or near the Old Town, just minutes away from the city’s main attractions. However, increasing numbers of guests are choosing to stay in one of the quieter beach resorts outside the city. One such resort is the scenic Lapad Peninsula. Dubrovnik hotels on the Lapad Peninsula are within walking distance of some of Dubrovnik’s best beaches. In addition, the district is within easy reach of the Old Town by bus. Almost every bus in the city leads here. Eating out is a popular pastime in the area. Restaurants and cafe-bars have a great local reputation, especially those by Lapad Beach. Many visitors come here especially for the delicious seafood. Guests can build up an appetite by tackling one of the district’s excellent walking trails.
