Introduction to Heredia - San Antonio
San Antonio is a district around nine miles northeast of the Costa Rican capital, San Jose. However, it's actually part of the neighbouring Heredia Province. More importantly, it's less than 10 minutes from San Jose's airport, Juan Santamaria International Airport. Consequently, San Antonio hotels are most useful for those with early flights or even late arrivals. The Belen area is well-known for its chalk cliffs, but travellers staying here might be more interested in the local shopping or other entertainment. The Centro Comercial La Rivera shopping centre is the hub of retail therapy here. More avid shoppers may like to take the short ride to San Jose, with its bustling streets, fascinating markets and interesting tours. San Antonio has its own train station, Belen, with weekday services to Estacion del Pacifico in San Jose. Trains depart every 30 minutes during peak times. The train is an interesting alternative to more expensive taxis. In addition, the train is the most comfortable way to get to the city of Heredia itself.other spellings: san antoniohotels, san antonio otel, sen antonoi hotell, sen antonoi hote
