Xian Travel Guide - Getting There

By air: Xian airport is 50kms northwest of downtown Xian. It is the fourth largest in the country and serves a number of domestic and international flights. To reach the city from the airport, you can catch a shuttle bus or hire a taxi.

By train: it is possible to travel by train from a number of cities in China such as Beijjing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Changchun and Nanning. Train tickets can be purchased at the train station on the day you plan to travel, although it is strongly recommended to book your tickets in advance to secure a seat as journeys can be long.
