It is possible to embark on a walking tour of the city walls and with 15 exits, you can stop anytime you like and catch a taxi back to your hotel.
Bell Tower and Drum Tower: are excellent examples of the ancient architecture of Xian. The Bell tower offers panoramic views from the top, while the Drum Tower houses a large drum which was used to mark the time of each night in the past.
Banpo Museum: can be found in Bango Village, about 6kms east of the city. Divided into three areas: residence area, pottery-making and tomb area, Banpo Museum unveils the largest and best-preserved remains of the villages of the matriarchal clan society along the Yellow River basin. The inhabitants of the village were the first to settle down in the area. Exhibitions show a great collection of utensils, pottery items, adult’s burial pits and children’s burial jars.
