Shanghai Travel Guide - Getting There
By air: Shanghai is serviced by two airports: Pudong International Airport and Hog Qiao Shanghai Airport. Both airports receive flights from many international destinations in Europe, US and throughout Asia.
By train: it is possible to get to Shanghai using the extensive train network system that exists in China. The Hu Ning and the Hu Huang railway services connect many major cities to Shanghai. Trains run at least once a day to Beijjing, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing and other nearby destinations. There is also a train running to Hong Kong. The Trans Mongolian railway network travels from Russia to Beijjing, where it is possible to catch a connecting train to Shanghai.
By ferry: Shanghai is the biggest port city in China and is connected with more than 400 ports worldwide including Korea and Japan.
By road: three primary roads connect the rest of China to Shanghai. These are National Road Line 312, from Shanghai to Yi Ning; National Road Line 318 to ZhangMu in Tibet and National Road Line 204 which travels along the eastern coastline to Tongjiang, Hei Longjiang-San Ya, Hai Nan.
