By air: the international airport is located at Chek Lap Kok and handles a vast number of international flights from all over the world. There are frequent direct flights from almost every continent. Many major cities in Europe and North America have at least one daily flight per day landing at the Hong Kong’s modern and advanced airport. Sydney has five daily flights, London ten, Frankfurt, Chicago, Toronto, Paris and Amsterdam have at least two flights each per day while many Asian cities fly more frequently into Hong Kong and there are between 10 to 40 flights per day from Singapore, Taipei, Tokyo, Shanghai, Manila, Seoul, Bangkok and Beijjing.
By train: there are two main train terminals in Hong Kong: Hung Hom Station on the Kowloon side and the domestic terminus at East Tsim Sha Tsui station. The Kowloon Canton Railway runs regular services between Guangdong Province, Beijjing and Shanghai. It is also possible to use the Trans Mongolian and Trans Manchurian but many passengers will have to combine rail transportation with road transportation to get to Hong Kong.
By bus: there are many bus links to mainland China from Hong Kong. The cross boundary coach service departs from Kowloon to Lok Ma Chua or Man Kam To on the Chinese mainland. There is a free shuttle services from outside the Chinese immigration check point that goes into the main area of Shenzhen. There are also connections to Sha Tau Kok which connects eastern Hong Kong to Shenzhen. It is a bit far to get into central Shenzhen from Sha Tau Kok immigration centre and thus not many tourists use this service.
By road: there are three border crossing immigration centres where you can drive across to get into mainland China. The checkpoints are all located on the Shenzhen boundary and are Lok Ma Chau, Man Kam To and Sha Tau Kok.
