Hong Kong Travel Guide
Victoria Peak: is Hong Kong’s number one tourist attraction and offers excellent views of the city and the harbour areas. There are several restaurants and entertainment attractions including the popular Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditorium.
Nathan road: carries all of the essence and charm of Hong Kong and is one of the ‘must see and do’ spots for all visitors. Nathan road lies in the heart of the Kowloon shopping district and is filled with shops, motels and restaurants varying in price and service.
The Waterfront: begins in Tsim Sha Tsui and ends in Tsim Sha Tsui East. You will find many places of interest to visit including Clock Tower, Hong Kong Space Museum, the Planetarium, the Hong Kong Museum of Art and the Omnimax Theatre. The promenade offers stunning views of the harbour as well as a selection of shops and cafés.
Chi Lin Nunnery: this amazing work of architecture has reputedly said to have been built without using a single nail over 10 years. It is constructed in the Tang dynasty style as similar monasteries would have been built 1000 years ago. It also has a lovely rock garden that offers some tranquillity in the middle of an urban oasis.
Aberdeen: is home to the floating population who move around the Bay on sampans (small fishing boats) and are known as the boat dwellers. This is one of the earliest areas to have been developed on Hong Kong Island and was formerly a fishing village. Today, Aberdeen is home to many tall buildings and factories but still retains the characteristics of a traditional fishing village.
