Introduction to Zhuhai - Xiangzhou
Xiangzhou is one of the central districts of Zhuhai, along the coast of the South China Sea. The city is an important travel point for ferries to Hong Kong and land crossings into Macau. Xiangzhou is more of a locals' district, popular for its massive shopping centres like Jusco. There are also a handful of bars and restaurants in this part of the city, but the vast majority of tourists spend their time in the lively district of Gongbei. Zhuhai is vpopular with Chinese from other regions who come to partake in the city's rowdy nightlife, which includes one of China's largest hostess scenes. The Walking Street in Gongbei is the centre of this industry, and at night the pedestrian-only strip is truly something to behold. Bars line the street with beautiful women pouring out of their doorways trying to lure patrons inside. It's not as seedy as it sounds, and guarantees colourful people-watching.
