Introduction to Zhenjiang, China
Located near the intersection of the Yangtze River and the Grand Canal, Zhenjiang is a major transportation hub that contains some worthwhile sites. The city is surrounded by soft, undulating hills from the Ningzhen Range that have been replicated by Chinese painters for centuries. The most famous is Jiao Hill, considered one of the three finest in Jingkou and nicknamed the 'Hill of Calligraphy' for its collection of steles and stone inscriptions. A 1,500-year-old temple adorns nearby Jinshan Hill, and Dinghui Temple, only slightly younger, sits on Jiaoshan Hill. Nanshan National Forest Park on the city's edge contains the 'Number One Life-spring Under Heaven', a spring that has been renowned since the Tang Dynasty as the region's best for making tea. Zhenjiang Museum and Shaozong Library are in Boxian Park, each containing ancient manuscripts and relics that date as far back as the 7th century. When staying in Zhenjiang hotels, be sure to admire the historic architecture on Xijin Ancient Ferry Street, and sample some of the regional treats including steamed Hilsa herring, savoury black vinegar and succulent crab-filled dumplings. The natural beauty and delicious local specialities of Zhenjiang will enchant all who visit.other spellings: zenjiang otel, zhenjian hotell, zhanjang hote, zhanjian hotes, hotelsin shenjiang
