Yantai is a sleepy port town along the Shandong coast and is one of the few places in China that has successfully managed to maintain its colonial charm. Although the town is slightly industrial, the local scenery is captivating and there are plenty of things to do for visiting tourists. Once tourists land at the international airport, they head off to their Yantai hotels, which can be found near the terminal or nearer to the town centre.
