Introduction to Wuhan - Wuchang
Situated along the beautiful Yangtze River, the port city of Wuhan is home to a large number of attractions that cater for many thousands of visitors each year. One of the city’s most important areas is the Wuhan Wuchang district. This area holds the largest lake in the city (East Lake) and also part of South Lake. There are many hotels in Wuhan located inside this district, making it popular for tourists. Originally, Wuhan and Wuchang were separate cities. Wuchang is the home of the first revolution against the dynasty reigns, and as a result, many tourists visit the Memorial Hall (the centre of the revolution). Other major attractions visitors are encouraged to experience are the Yellow Crane Tower, Guiyuan Temple, and the always popular night scene of Jiqing Street.
